Mumbai, October 27: India’s second-largest port operator JSW Infrastructure Limited reported a 11% decline in Profit After Tax at ₹328 crore for the quarter ended September 30 due to unrealized foreign exchange losses and depreciation expenses. Despite this, the company has witnessed a 8% year on year growth in cargo handling volumes and sustained revenue gains across its core business segments.
During the quarter, JSW Infrastructure has achieved consolidated revenue from operations at ₹1,480.92 crore, marking a solid increase compared to ₹1,265.59 crore reported in the corresponding period last year, a 17% rise. The company’s port operations remained its primary growth engine, generating ₹1,201 crore during the quarter, while logistics operations added an additional Rs.279.32 crore to this. Overall profitability was also affected due to increased financial overheads, including financing costs and depreciation associated with its ongoing capacity expansions and business combinations.
The company faced challenging operational issues at its UAE-based Fujairah Liquid Terminal, besides lower volumes at Jaigarh Port and Paradip Iron Ore Terminal in Odisha. However, this was offset by improved capacity utilization at the Paradip, Ennore and Mangalore coal terminals along with interim operations at the Tuticorin Bulk Terminal and the Kolkata Container Terminals.
During the quarter, JSW Infrastructure acquired 100% of NCR Rail Infrastructure and AMD Business Support Services under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) process, with both being used to expand the company’s multimodal logistics presence.
In June 2026, the company raised ₹6,555 crore through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) by issuing equity shares to bolster its balance sheet.
