New Delhi, September 29: Delhi NCR-based multi-specialty healthcare provider Global Health Limited, which operates under the Medanta brand, has secured a 10,560.36 square meter land parcel in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh to set up a new hospital. The land was acquired for ₹ 165.82 crore through a state-run online auction to develop a greenfield multi-specialty hospital with a capacity of over 350 beds
“We see Ghaziabad as a compelling long-term healthcare opportunity within the broader Delhi-NCR market. The region has undergone significant urban and economic development and continues to see increasing demand for advanced, specialised healthcare services. The Siddharth Vihar land parcel offers us a strategically located platform to potentially develop a large integrated hospital and extend our clinical capabilities to a wider patient catchment.
The proposed hospital would also complement our existing presence through Medanta Noida, enabling us to strengthen our healthcare network across the eastern and central parts of the Delhi -NCR region and improve access to high-quality tertiary and quaternary care for patients across the wider catchment. Our focus will be on building a differentiated healthcare institution that combines clinical excellence, experienced medical talent, technology and patient-centric care,” Mr Pankaj Sahni, Group CEO and Director, Global Health Limited, said in a press release.
The land parcel—located in the Siddharth Vihar Yojna region of Ghaziabad, was allotted on a freehold basis by the Uttar Pradesh Housing & Development Board through an e-auction . Global Health received the official allotment letter for the site on September 28, 2026.
The proposed facility will be used to set up an advanced multi-specialty hospital, though the rollout remains subject to board approval for detailed project architecture and capital expenditure.
The Ghaziabad project will strengthen Medanta’s footprint across high-density micro-markets in the National Capital Region (NCR), supplementing its existing operational presence in Gurugram and Noida. The expansion is aimed at boosting Medanta’s capabilities to reach about 2,700 beds over the next three to four years across North and Central India through a mix of greenfield and brownfield initiatives
Before this, Global Health has been scaling up its network, with a new 400 bed hospital project in Varanasi, besides an upscaled 650-bed facility in Guwahati as well.
