Mumbai, September 23: Waaree Energies, one of India’s largest solar module manufacturers, has announced the acquisition of a massive 2 GW supply order from an undisclosed domestic customer. This latest contract strengthens the company’s dominance in the renewable energy sector along with its revenue visibility for the long term.

With this, Waaree Energies’ total order book reaches almost ₹61,500 crore. This allows the company to gain high revenue visibility over the medium time, extending through FY27. Given the scale of orders, Waaree Energies could handle further large scale utility projects, analysts hope. It has already scaled up its solar module manufacturing capacity to about 25.8 GW by September 2026, with the new order supporting this scale-up.

Waaree Energies’ is aiming to expand its manufacturing capacities in order to diversify its order mix while meeting execution timelines. With a robust order book, Waaree aims to strengthen its presence among domestic renewable energy developers, in addition to expanding its international manufacturing capabilities.

The market responded well to the news, and Waaree Energies’ shares rose by nearly 2% after the announcement. For investors, this deal boosts their confidence in the company’s ability to deliver and its part in advancing India’s shift to green energy.
