    New Delhi [India], March 12: Kolkata recently witnessed two significant events centered around healthcare and the well-being of senior citizens, bringing together experts, thought leaders, and industry professionals to discuss critical issues and advancements in geriatric care.

    The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) successfully organized the 8th edition of the Health Tech Summit on March 7, 2025, at The Park, Kolkata. A key highlight of the summit was a specially curated session on geriatric care titled “Age Well, Live Well: A Holistic Approach to Senior Health & Wellness.” This session, moderated by Aninda Das, Vice President – Marketing, Infinity Group, featured an esteemed panel of experts.

    The panel included Swami Umapadananda, Campus In-charge, Bose House Campus, Rishra, Cultural and Educational Centre of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur; Dr. Dhires Kumar Chowdhury, Geriatrician, Founder & President, Banchbo; Debshankar Mukhopadhyay, CEO, Peerless Giving; Prof. Dr. Arunansu Talukdar, Professor & Head, Geriatric Medicine Department, Medical College Kolkata; Dr. Tulika Bhattacharyya, Socio-behavioural Gerontologist; and Radhika Singh, Global Lead for Workforce Planning, British Council.

    The session delved into holistic healthcare solutions for the elderly, emphasizing the need for integrated medical, psychological, and social support to ensure a better quality of life for senior citizens.

    Following the Health Tech Summit, Protect The Warriors organized the 5th PTWCON 2025 on March 8-9, 2025, in Kolkata. A special session titled “Healthcare is Fundamentally a Blend of Intellectual Expertise and Human Touch” was jointly curated by Banchbo Healing Touch Foundation and Jagriti Dham – Kolkata’s Premier Luxury Senior Living Community, an initiative of Infinity Group.

    The session was moderated by Dr. Dhires Kumar Chowdhury and featured an insightful panel discussion with distinguished personalities. The panel included Dr. Siddhartha Sankar Roy, renowned singer; Moubani Sircar, renowned actress; and Aninda Das, Vice President – Marketing, Infinity Group.

    The session was chaired by two esteemed leaders in the medical fraternity—Prof. Dr. Sukumar Mukherjee and Dr. Swapan Saren, Director of Health Services, Government of West Bengal & Administrative Head of West Bengal Health Service.

    This engaging discussion emphasized the growing need for human touch in today’s healthcare system, highlighting the importance of combining technological advancements with compassionate caregiving to ensure holistic healthcare solutions.
