LANXESS once again on CDP Climate A List – among the top 4 percent of all companies assessed

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 31: Climate protection initiative CDP has once again included LANXESS in its “A List” for climate protection – for the seventh time in a row. With an “A” rating, the specialty chemicals company ranks among the top 4 percent of more than 22,100 companies assessed worldwide.

CDP gave particularly positive ratings in the areas of business strategy, targets, emissions reduction and climate-friendly products, governance and value chain.

The CDP experts award “A” ratings to companies that disclose their climate protection measures in a particularly transparent manner and implement their plans reliably. Among other things, verifiable strategies, science-based targets and a current climate protection plan are rewarded.

LANXESS also achieved a strong result in the area of water: CDP rated the company’s water management with the second-best grade of A-. LANXESS has been reporting to the CDP continuously since 2012.

    EcoVadis confirms LANXESS’s gold status

Back in December 2025, sustainability platform EcoVadis had already evaluated the speciality chemicals company. With 83 out of a possible 100 points, LANXESS has once again improved on its

previous year’s performance and is thus among the top 2 per cent of all companies evaluated. EcoVadis has thereby confirmed LANXESS’s Gold status.

“The latest assessments by CDP and EcoVadis are proof that our focus on sustainability is setting international standards,” said Hubert Fink, member of the Board of Management of LANXESS AG. “Our progress in this area is paying off – also for our customers who want to achieve their own sustainability goals.”

    Recognized by leading organizations

Non-profit organization CDP collects annual environmental and climate data from companies on greenhouse gas emissions, water management, and forest protection. In 2025, more than 22,100 companies submitted their statistics. The CDP platform is considered the market standard and covers more than half of the global listed market.

EcoVadis is a leading platform for sustainability information for global supply chains. More than 150,000 companies use the ratings and other EcoVadis solutions to assess sustainability in their supply chain. For the majority of LANXESS’s customers and suppliers, the EcoVadis rating is the key metric for assessing the specialty chemicals company’s sustainability.
