    Odisha Girl bags Bronze Medal at FIG Apparatus World Cup 2025

    Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], March 25: Indian gymnast Pranati Nayak scripted history on March 22, 2025 by securing a bronze medal in the Vault final at the FIG Apparatus World Cup, held in Antalya, Turkey. With an impressive score of 13.417, she brought immense pride to the Nation through her outstanding and consistent performance while representing Team India on the global stage.

    Four gymnasts of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (HPC) represented Team India in the prestigious FIG Apparatus World Cup 2025 series. While Tapan Mohanty and Tapeswarnath Das represented India in the Senior Men Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) category, Pranati Nayak and Karishma Rajput represented in the Senior Women Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) category.

    In the Senior MAG category, Tapan Mohanty cleared the qualifying round and stood at eighth position in the finals with a score of 8.933 in the Floor Exercise/ Still Rings event held in Baku, Azerbaijan which was held from March 6 to 9, 2025. The Senior WAG category was held in Antalya, Turkey from March 20 to 23, 2025 where Pranati Nayak and Karishma Rajput represented Team India in Vault and Balance Beam respectively. With a score of 13.317, Pranati Nayak cleared the qualifying round subsequently advancing to the final round in Vault.

    The exceptional achievements of the gymnasts of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre at the FIG Apparatus World Cup 2025 are a testament to their dedication, talent, and the world-class training provided at the centre. These achievements highlight the world-class training and holistic development provided at the HPC, which continues to play a pivotal role in nurturing young talent and advancing the sport of gymnastics in India.

    Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre

    ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) – a joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel has partnered with the Government of Odisha to promote and grow the sport of gymnastics in India and transform Odisha into a premier gymnastics’ excellence hub. The ‘Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Center’, a facility housed in the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar is meant for senior athletes participating in the ‘Elite Senior Gymnastics Programme’. Additionally, it includes three ‘Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics Academies’ located in Puri, Jeypore, and Rourkela for grassroots level athletes. AM/NS India operates these activities under its CSR initiative ‘Udaan’ and aims to train 360 sportspeople every year with world-class coaching by international and national gymnastics coaches.
