Surat (Gujarat) [India], July 4: Mitraj Sarvajanik Institute of Design, Planning and Technology (MS-IDPT), Sarvajanik University, organized a special Thanksgiving Ceremony, Time Capsule Dedication, and Tree Plantation on 4th July 2024 to commemorate the historic transition of the Faculty of Architecture from its long-standing SCET campus to the new MS-IDPT campus.

Established in 1995, the AAERT & SSB Faculty of Architecture has nurtured generations of architects, planners, designers, artists, and creative professionals. As all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Architecture, Interior Design, Planning, Fine Arts, and Visual Arts commence at the new MS-IDPT campus from the academic year 2026–27, the institution expressed gratitude to the campus that shaped its three-decade-long legacy.

The programme began with a Satyanarayan Puja seeking blessings for the institution’s new journey.

A specially created Timeless Structure and Time Capsule, containing memories, achievements, photographs, publications, reports, and messages contributed by faculty, alumni, students, and well-wishers, was dedicated. The capsule will remain sealed until July 2045, when it will be opened during the Faculty’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.

To symbolize growth, continuity, and sustainability, nine Asopalav saplings were planted by distinguished dignitaries of Sarvajanik Education Society and Sarvajanik University.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of management members, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and invited guests, making it a memorable occasion that celebrated the institution’s rich heritage while embracing its future with renewed commitment.
