Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 6: The wait is almost over. Indian volleyball is ready for a new beginning.

The Volleyball Champions League (VCL) is set to officially begin its inaugural season on 6 October 2026, bringing together some of the country’s finest volleyball talent, ten ambitious franchises, and thousands of passionate fans under one roof at the Noida Indoor Stadium.

The league will kick off with a grand opening ceremony from 6:30 PM onwards, setting the stage for an evening that promises sport, entertainment, and the arrival of a new chapter for professional volleyball in India. Adding to the excitement, the opening ceremony will be graced by acclaimed actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, making the launch a celebration that goes beyond the court.

VCL arrives with a clear purpose to give Indian volleyball the stage it deserves. With professional franchises, competitive squads, and a national platform, the league aims to bring the intensity of top-level volleyball closer to fans while creating greater opportunities for players to showcase their talent.
