Chandigarh [India], February 28: In a significant step toward strengthening cybersecurity education, awareness, and victim support, Panjab University will inaugurate the CopConnect Cyber Wellness Clinic on March 5, 2025. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) and Zscaler, which is supporting the project through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The clinic aims to serve as a dynamic hub for cyber safety training, knowledge sharing, and cooperation among academia, law enforcement, and industry professionals.

    Building on a Proven Model

This initiative follows the successful launch of the CopConnect Cyber Wellness Center at educational institutions in Bengaluru earlier in 2024. The Bengaluru center has played a crucial role in equipping students and professionals with essential cybersecurity skills and knowledge. Its positive impact has paved the way for similar initiatives across the nation, reinforcing the need for structured cybersecurity awareness programs.

    • Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar: Engaging in research collaborations for technological advancements in cybersecurity.

ISAC also manages various cybersecurity platforms and communities, including:

    • Cyberange Cybersecurity Labs: Providing immersive training environments.
    • CopConnect Social Impact Platform: Offering assistance to cybercrime victims and facilitating connections with law enforcement agencies.
    • Breach Point Bug Bounty Platform: Encouraging ethical hacking and vulnerability detection.
    • EthixFirst Professional Ethics Rating Platform: Promoting integrity and ethical cybersecurity practices.
    • National Security Database: A trusted repository of certified cybersecurity professionals recognized for their expertise and contributions to national security.

Zscaler: A Leader in Cloud Security

The CopConnect Cyber Wellness Clinic at Panjab University

Situated at Panjab University’s Sector 25, Chandigarh South Campus, within CSDE, the upcoming CopConnect Cyber Wellness Clinic aims to be a cornerstone of cybersecurity awareness and training. The clinic will offer a variety of programs and resources, including:

    • Comprehensive Victim Support: A multidisciplinary team of Cyber Crime First Responders, Cyber Lawyers, Cyber Psychologists, and Forensics Experts will provide assistance to cybercrime victims.

A Unified Effort for a Secure Digital Future

The collaboration between Panjab University, ISAC, and Zscaler underscores a shared commitment to promoting cybersecurity awareness and ethical digital practices. By leveraging their collective expertise, these organizations aim to empower students, faculty, and law enforcement personnel with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate the evolving digital landscape securely.

As cyber threats continue to evolve, initiatives like the CopConnect Cyber Wellness Clinic play a vital role in preparing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and fostering a digitally resilient society.
